Meet the Buyer at RVE

The Department for International Trade is to host another ‘Meet the Buyer’ event at the Rail Vehicles and Enhancements show, held in Derby on 5 October.

Six international buyers are signed up for the show – Siemens, Alstom, Hitachi, MTR Tech (Sweden), SBB (Switzerland) and Eurostar. This offers an excellent opportunity for suppliers to meet directly with buyers from major international companies. If you wish to participate, you can submit your company details at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/RVEMTB17, indicating which of the six buyers you would like to meet. Then you will receive an email within 48 hours, with details on how to complete a short online application form for each of the buyers you have selected to meet. You are advised to spend some time to develop bespoke offers for each of the buyers. Your form will then be sent to the buyer, and based on the information you have provided, they will decide if they would like to book an appointment with you. The deadline for supplier applications to be submitted is Friday 25 August 2017.

RVE is the only single theme event aimed at the engineering of rail vehicles for refurbishment, maintenance and enhancements. Now in its sixth year, this year’s show promises to bigger and better with a new larger venue at the Derby Velodrome. Modern Railways columnist Ian Walmsley will again chair the Forum, which includes presentations from leading industry figures, while Modern Railways will have a stand at the exhibition.
