Derek Holmes memorial service

Derek Holmes, Network Rail’s Director of Operations, died in January of cancer after a very short illness. ‘Because Derek served for almost 30 years in the industry, starting as a crossing keeper’s box near Dundee and crossing over to train operating companies and back again to Network Rail, there are very many people in the rail industry who will wish to attend to pay their respects’ says Network Rail spokesman Kevin Groves.
The Derek Holmes Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday 23 March at 12.45 (40 mins long) at St Mary’s Church, Eversholt Street, Euston (behind the station – where the rail industry carol service is held). Light refreshments will be available in the church hall afterwards.
